What is PGI?
PROTECTED GEOGRAPHIC INDICATION. This indicates that our Spanish Sponge Cake PGI have a QUALITY and reputation due to the place of origin in which they are made. With this stamp you will know that they have been produced and packaged in the Region of the Pas, a geographical area delimited by the rivers Pas and Pisueña in the central area of the Autonomous Region of Cantabria (Spain).
It is characterized by its intense yellow color, caused by the use of 100% natural butter, along with a tender toast-coloured surface. Its texture is dense, but very spongy and with a sweet taste where the aroma of butter stands out.
Wheat flour (28%), butter (26 %), sugar, egg (21%), humectant (E-422), glucose syrup, dextrose. raising agent (E-450, E-500), Anti-caking agent (E-516), salt, preservative (E-202) and flavouring
